McGRATHPR.com – JuniorK students from across the region participated in SELA: The International Private School’s “Kindergarten Step-Up Day” this week.  The event gathered faculty, staff, and students to celebrate the achievements of the youngsters and prepare them for the next chapter in their educational adventure.  SELA is the first and only full Spanish immersion school in Southeastern Massachusetts.

“On this joyous day, future kindergarteners are filled with anticipation and eagerness as they leave their familiar JuniorK classrooms and step foot into a colorful, bright future ahead,” shares SELA’s Director of Admissions Alexandra Perry. “It’s a day of discovery, where they get a sneak peek into what lies ahead, and a highly anticipated opportunity to meet their future teachers and classmates.”

During the festivities, students engaged in a variety of fun and interactive activities, inspiring learning, and fostering a sense of belonging. They gathered around a future teacher for a story time centered on kindergarten themes, enjoyed arts and crafts projects, created their own Kindergarten crown, received personalized water bottles, and met current kindergarten students to learn more about their first elementary school experience.  Located in Hingham and Norwell, SELA offers Early Global Education programs for infants through age 5, in addition to the Private Elementary and Middle School programs for Kindergarten through grade 8, serving families from the Greater South Shore and beyond.

“We can’t wait to see these enthusiastic learners bloom and grow as they embark on their kindergarten adventure.

Let the countdown to the first day of school begin!”

~ SELA Director of Admissions Alexandra Perry
