New design and event studio, and cut flower farm established in Hanover

McGRATHPR.com – Water Street Flower Farm, the South Shore’s newest floral farm, design, and event studio – an experience destination – hosts an official “Grand Opening Celebration,” on Saturday, May 6, 11 am to 2 pm, at its farm-centered studio, 176 Water Street, Hanover.  The public is welcome to attend, enjoy light bites and refreshments, view sample Mother’s Day arrangements for preorder, peruse the floral workshops schedule, and purchase wildflower seedling kits and other seasonal gifts. Grand opening workshop discounts and gift cards are also available online and on site.

Water Street Flower Farm founder Dana Roberts, a longtime South Shore resident and businessperson, has specialized in farm-grown flowers and greenery in the floral industry for more than two decades.  Her “subtle and sophisticated” style is heralded through custom floral designs and masterful container plantings, long appreciated by local businesses and homeowners.  Roberts’ bouquets and arrangements have been the centerpiece of many family celebrations, business events, and milestone occasions.  Specialties abound from individual arrangements to window boxes, planters, and outdoor business installations, frequently admired across South Shore communities, notably Cohasset, Hingham, Hull, and Hanover.

“I’m excited to finally welcome the community in to witness this labor of love, now more than eight years in the making,” shares Roberts. “I’m anticipating taking a moment to step back, appreciate all the hard work, and truly embrace this achievement!”  Roberts is especially excited about her newly renovated and spacious studio, a new destination for a workshops series, private events, or venue for business rentals.

Roberts purchased the property in 2015, located on a lush knoll, boasting more than an acre of beautiful gardens, farmland, and an outbuilding, now home to her design studio.  The farm is located in close proximity to shopping centers along Route 53, sustainably growing plants and flowers for floral creations, and the artistic endeavors of future workshop attendees to enjoy, while they “sip and snip” or learn the latest floral design techniques. Newly established Previte’s Marketplace is remarkably close, including Square Café’s newest location, both Roberts’ commercial clients, featuring her latest outdoor patio installations.

“I have always envisioned my property to be filled with plentiful and resourceful gardens to source my own materials, featuring my favorite flowers, and a working studio,” shares Roberts. Over the last eight years, she has bolstered the farm with new varieties of specialty flowers and rose bushes. More recently, she transformed a section of the farm’s front lawn, creating a large cut flower garden. Last fall, she transformed the outbuilding into her gorgeous working shop and studio, where the grand opening will be held.
