McGRATHPR.com – SELA: The International Private School, the region’s only full immersion Spanish school, announces the grand opening of its newest campus in Norwell, currently offering a second location for its School of Early Global Education.  The staff welcomes the public to attend a “Grand Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting,” held in conjunction with SELA’s 19th birthday celebration, on Friday, February 3, 4 pm, at 137 Washington Street, Norwell.  Attendees are welcome and encouraged to explore SELA’s engaging facilities and enjoy family-friendly activities.  Educators will be on site to answer questions and share more about the school’s curriculum model.

“I truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful school. Every day, I look forward to seeing the smiles on our students’ faces as they walk in. SELA is a unique school where our students are challenged with an advanced curriculum, as well as the opportunity to become bilingual,” shares SELA Director of Early Global Education Stacy Dooley. “Seeing our students and school grow is an amazing feeling, and I am so proud to be a part of our growing community.”

Situated close to Queen Anne’s Corner (intersection of 228 and 53), set back quietly from the road, SELA’s new location maintains the same quality mission, characteristics, and atmosphere as its flagship Hingham campus. At 17,000 square feet, the Norwell facility spaciously accommodates early childhood programs for students ages 3 months through age 5, in successive infant, toddler, preschool and junior kindergarten groups. Norwell houses fourteen classrooms, administrative offices, two age-leveled outdoor playgrounds and a large indoor play space that offer an expansive environment where children can explore, play, learn, and grow.

SELA’s School of Early Global education full-immersion Spanish model develops skills in both student native and target languages.  The highly educated teaching staff strives to nurture each child’s natural cognitive, emotional, and physical growth, setting the stage for successful lifelong learning and social relationships. Lauded for its low student-to-teacher ratios, each age-leveled group’s program is custom developed to optimize learning and discovery in its age-appropriate expansive curriculum.  SELA’s Hingham campus originated the Early Global programs, where they remain available, and additionally offers, in continuum, Private Elementary and Middle School programs for students in Kindergarten through grade 8.

Founded in 2004 in Cohasset as Su Escuela Language Academy, evolving into a private school, it launched with the goal of preparing English-speaking children to excel linguistically, academically, and socially in global society through instruction in a second and third language. In July of 2011, the academy expanded and opened the doors at its flagship campus in Hingham. Now established as SELA: The International Private School, its educational model has continued to expand, now offering programs for infants through age 5, in addition to the Private Elementary and Middle School programs for Kindergarten through grade 8.  Today, with locations in Hingham and Norwell, SELA is the first and only Spanish full immersion school in Southeastern Massachusetts.
