Attendees are the first to learn about the 2019 performance schedule, featuring the finest productions in theatre, music, comedy, mystery, concerts and special events. The public enjoys tours of the theatre, first choice in ticketed seating, can learn about season subscription options and purchase holiday gift certificates. Refreshments and entertainment are provided, and cast members of Oliver! greet guests.
Tickets for all 2019 theatre season performances go on sale at the Open House, prices range between $18 and $48. Theatre Club subscription, student, military, Massachusetts Teacher’s Association (MTA) and group discounts are available. Theatre club subscribers are eligible for V.I.P. ticket access to the highly anticipated revival of Company’s original musical Paragon Park, being produced in the summer of 2019.
During the event, The Academy of The Company Theatre (A.C.T.) offers free demos of classes for children, as well as mini-private voice lessons for teens and adults, studio tours and on-site registration for its winter/spring semester. A.C.T. builds creativity and self-confidence in students through the performing and visual arts in a challenging, fun, and supportive environment.

The beloved Charles Dickens novel springs to life in Lionel Bart’s musical that has become an international classic. Follow the young orphan boy Oliver on a wild adventure through Victorian England as he encounters such colorful characters as the cruel undertaker Mr. Sowerberry, the charmingly clever street waif known as the Artful Dodger, the conniving yet charismatic Fagin and his gang of child pickpockets, the sinister Bill Sikes and the warm-hearted Nancy. “Consider yourself at home” with this bigger than life, action-packed, humorous tale of loyalty and ultimately, finding love. A perfect offering for the whole family during the holiday season.
Attending a holiday season performance at The Company Theatre is a treasured South Shore tradition. The cobblestone streets and backroads of Dicken’s London have been recreated by Ryan Barrow and enhanced with detailed and antique props. Costume Designer Kathryn Ridder has supplemented The Company Theatre’s existing vintage wardrobe with her own creations for the cast, which ranges in age from 7 to 80. Equity guest artist Brittany Rolfs appears in the role of “Nancy”.

Direct from Las Vegas and back by popular demand, ring in the holidays with this festive performance by Anthony and Eddie. These celebrity identical twin brother illusionists recreate famous stars performing Christmas classics. You won’t believe your eyes and ears as they perform hit songs by the likes of Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Bette Midler, Billy Joel, Sonny and Cher, Liza Minelli, and many more. New material for this concert features the area premiere of their version of country music’s beloved Dolly Parton, and favorite muppet Kermit the Frog. SSC Debuts features SSC’s newest faculty members performing the music they most love to play. Performers include soprano Laura Swartz, jazz pianist Jeff Williams, oboist Mary Cicconetti, classical pianist Victoria Suchodolski, and tenor Jason Dyer. Joining the performers, is guest pianist Leah Kosch. The concert’s repertoire is as varied as a Mozart piano sonata and Benjamin Britten’s Cabaret Songs.

Another Blue Tuesday features blues powerhouses Anthony Geraci on piano, Chris Rathbun on bass, and Ed Sorrentino on drums. Geraci discusses the essence of blues, the genre’s roots, and his travels with Grammy award-winning Sugar Ray and The Bluetones. This concert’s chamber music small hall setting augments the electricity of these musicians’ on-the-spot improvisation, tight harmonies, and virtuosic playing.
Pulling from life in its expression, blues explores the human condition. Sometimes it speaks of heartache, other times explores shoes, family or even Monday. Its organic beat promises to keep audience member’s toes tapping and hands clapping.

Join SSC’s Piano Department for a day of fun-filled piano-related activities and demonstrations, followed by a “music that tells a story” themed recital featuring SSC piano students and faculty. South Shore Conservatory Youth Orchestra (SSCYO) Fall Concert

SSCYO’s fall concert includes works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms, and Mendelssohn. The North River Brass Quintet is the featured guest artist for this performance. Under the guidance of Music Director Elijah Langille and Repertory Conductor Maria Varonko, South Shore Conservatory’s orchestra program is run in collaboration with the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra (the Phil) and Artistic Advisor Steven Karidoyanes. SSCYO offers two leveled orchestras, and is open to students from communities throughout the South Shore and Cape Cod.
Both SSCYO ensembles offer dedicated and talented young musicians the opportunity to perform symphonic music at a high level in an organized, supportive orchestra program. Both orchestras will perform in this concert – Repertory, an intermediate full orchestra, as well as Symphony, an advanced orchestra.

Say farewell to 2018 with the Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra and the famous “Farewell” symphony of Joseph Haydn. Featuring Corelli’s “Christmas” Concerto, the music of Stephanie Ann Boyd, and Debussy’s stunning display of the Harp, Danses sacrée et profane.
This concert is in part a benefit for the Foster a Dream Fund of Cape Cod. Since 2013, this fund has provided foster children and teenagers with music lessons, dance lessons, application fees for college, and many more opportunities.

Usher in the holiday season with a selection of the finest carols composed in recent years. As a centerpiece, the chorus performs James Whitbourn’s Missa Carolae, a work commissioned to commemorate the 1400th anniversary of the founding of Rochester Cathedral in England, which premiered in 2004. Each section of this work uses a traditional carol tune set to the language of the Latin Mass, accompanied by organ and piccolo.
Carols in many styles, both familiar and unfamiliar, by well-respected composers John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Alan Bullard and David Willcocks, fill out the program.
Celebrate! – Messiah and Carol Sing-along

Pilgrim Festival Chorus co-director William B. Richter leads the audience in both carols and the familiar choruses from Part I of Handel’s masterpiece, concluding with the Hallelujah Chorus. Solos selected from Part I, the Christmas portion, will be sung by featured local vocalists. Organ accompaniment on the church’s 1887 S. S. Hamill pipe organ will be performed by PFC accompanist/vo-director, Elizabeth Chapman Reilly, music director at the church.
In Messiah Sings, popular throughout the area for more than 40 years, the audience can either sing or listen. Scores are available to borrow on site, or attendees are welcome to bring their own. Funds raised from this event support the PFC’s yearly operating expenses.
