The Company Theatre’s Special Events Series Presents The New Band

McGRATHPR.com – The award-winning Company Theatre’s Special Events series presents The New Band in concert, on Friday, January 5, 8 pm, at The Company Theatre Center for Performing Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. The New Band is donating their portion of the performance proceeds to Weymouth High School Theater Company Boosters.

From Gladys Knight to Bruno Mars, from the ’50s to the songs of today, The New Band is a favorite for classic rock, rhythm and blues, and pop. Five energetic performing artists take classic cover song solos and perform them as blazing duets!  The New Band features local musicians Donnie Norton, vocals and auxiliary percussion, Sara Logan Seals, vocals and keys, Ryan MacLeod, bass, Mike Monteiga, drums and Jeff Hall, guitar.

Weymouth High School Theater Company (WHTC) Boosters is a parent, family and alumni organization that donates time to help fund WHTC and its’ 100+ members.  The organization strives to create art that not only entertains, but impacts the lives of patrons, performers, and technicians alike.  WHTC Boosters efforts support costumes, props, and sets, as well as tech week dinners, transportation to and from competition venues, and educational field trips.

Each member of The New Band have either performed with, or served as musicians for WHTC.  Currently, The New Band’s Donnie Norton serves as WHTC Director, and Sara Logan Seals as WHTC Music Director.  Norton shares “The members of The New Band are thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to an organization that has done so much for them with this benefit performance.”
