South Shore Conservatory Presents Chase Away the Winter Blues

cawb-pr-graphicSouth Shore Conservatory (SSC) announced today that tickets are now available for its 11th Chase Away the Winter Blues gala. The annual event takes place Saturday, January 28, from 6:30 to 11:00 pm, at The River Club in Scituate, a new venue for the fundraiser.

The 11th annual gala fundraiser supports programming critical to SSCs mission to provide access to exceptional arts education and performance for the South Shore community, fostering creativity, artistic growth, and well-being for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. All proceeds benefit SSC’s ImagineARTS arts and literacy program in Brockton public schools, as well as programs in Creative Arts Therapy, and student scholarships. Last year the event raised $150,000 for outreach and educational programs, and scholarships, benefiting hundreds of students.

Janet Haney is serving as chair of the Blues committee, supported by SSC trustees, overseers, parents, friends, and volunteers. The evening includes creative black-tie dress, cocktails, a seated dinner, live auction, and dancing to the music of R&B band, In the House.


Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation and South Shore Bank are among early corporate sponsors supporting the event. Tables and tickets are on sale now.
