Genesis Chamber Singers Presents The Gift of Music

Benefit raises funds for exceptional, accessible choral performances

South Shore based vocal ensemble Genesis Chamber Singers presents a benefit fundraiser The Gift of Music on Friday, June 17 from 7 to 9 pm, at the James Library & Center for the Arts, 24 West Street, Norwell.  All proceeds benefit Genesis Chamber Singers’ mission to connect a diverse community through the vibrant beauty of choral chamber music.

A pull-out-the-stops celebration, The Gift of Music inhabits all three floors of Norwell’s beautiful community arts center!  Enjoy the ambiance of this beloved historical library, art gallery and concert hall while nibbling on light fare of hors d’oeurvres, wine and sweets.  Each of Genesis’s eight singers perform throughout the evening, personally connecting with guests in unique Genesis Chamber Singers 1 LRways. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose the music performed during the gala by request. Guests are encouraged to visit the Genesis website in advance of the event, listen to excerpts from last season’s repertoire, and vote for their favorites. A silent auction features a myriad of items for bid, including entertainment, sporting events, spirits, wellness packages and more. Special items will include autographed scores of pieces premiered by Genesis and an intimate home concert performed by the ensemble.  Advance bidding on auction items is available through eFlea Charity Auction System at eflea.ca beginning June 1.

Through the support of generous donors, Genesis Chamber Singers maintains its mission to help grow a community connected through high-quality, accessible music.

Tickets for The Gift of Music are $25 per person. To purchase tickets or for more information about Genesis Chamber Singers, visit genesischambersingers.com, or follow on Facebook and Twitter.  For more information about The James Library, call 781-659-7100 or visit jameslibrary.org.
