This year’s “Performathon” has been extended to four days from Thursday, March 31 through Sunday, April 3 and all proceeds support the South Shore Conservatory’s Scholarship Fund. “Performathon 2016 – Kids Helping Kids” invites students of all ages to perform in the community for a good cause. Enjoy hourly set of live performances feature piano, flute, trumpet, guitar, clarinet, oboe, violin, cello, and more while browsing for books. Each year, “Performathon” holds an art contest and the winner’s artwork will be used on all of “Performathon” promotional materials. This year’s winner is piano student Grace Coughlin of Hingham, Massachusetts.
South Shore Conservatory invites the public to visit Barnes & Noble at Derby Street Shoppes, 96 Derby Street in Hingham, Massachusetts starting Thursday, March 31 from 5 – 9 p.m. It continues Friday, April 1 from 4 – 9 p.m. On Saturday, April 2, attend from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. “Performathon” concludes on Sunday, April 3 from noon – 5 p.m. Mention South Shore Conservatory while making purchases at Barnes & Noble from Thursday, March 31 through Saturday, April 3 and a percentage of those purchases will be donated to South Shore Conservatory.
