EXAMINER.com – A ten-time Tony award-winner including Best Musical and famous for its sensational choreography, ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ has taken the stage by storm on Broadway and throughout the world ever since it first debuted on the London stage in 2005. ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ will burst onto the award-winning Company Theatre stage from Friday, March 18 through Sunday, April 10 in Norwell, Massachusetts.
Based on the 2000 film and set in the 1980s, ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ tells the story of a coal miner’s son who thinks his life is on one course until he discovers his true passion. With extraordinary music and lyrics by legendary singer-songwriter Elton John alongside lyricist Lee Hall, ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ is packed with memorable songs such as ‘Electricity,’ ‘Shine,’ ‘The Stars Look Down,’ and ‘Once We Were Kings.’ Directed by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, choreography by Sally Forrest, and musical direction by Michael Joseph, performances will take place at the Company Theatre Center for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, Massachusetts.
The new Company Theatre season is just getting started! In addition to ‘Billy Elliot the Musical,’ this impressive season also includes ‘Legally Blonde the Musical,’ ‘Dracula,’ and the return of the Charles Dickens beloved classic ‘A Christmas Carol.’
